I used lime green plates for the body of the Caterpillar, and red plates for the head (that I bought on Christmas clearance for $0.49/12 plates). I cut out the letters spelling ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAESON’ using black construction paper. I decorated the red caterpillar head using colored construction paper (that I bought from back to school clearance for $1.00).

I made all my decorations for the tables out of construction paper. I created all the food from the book, and cut the circles using a scrapbook circle cutting tool (can find on Amazon, here is one for $12.86 that ships free with Amazon Prime! EK Success Circle Scissor Pro) and arranged them on the center of the kids table.
Caterpillar
To make the caterpillar, I printed duplicates of the caterpillar on cardstock, about 12/page. I cut them out, and taped a toothpick (bought 100ct toothpicks at dollar store) to the back of the caterpillar. I stuck the caterpillar through the construction paper.
Quotes
I printed out quotes from the book on green printer paper (bought for $1.00 at $1.00 store).

Adult Table - MondayTable Cloths
I had 5 adult tables with 5 table cloths (bought for $1.00 at Dollar Store). They were different colors that matched the color theme of the book. Each table was from a different day of the week, Monday – Friday.
Center pieces
I made the caterpillar food again out of construction paper and the caterpillar I printed off of cardstock. I printed the quote of what the caterpillar ate on green printer paper and made it into leaf form.
The bowl is plastic (bought at the dollar store for 2/$1).
I filled the bowl with candy gummy worms (bought in bulk from the local grocery store, can’t remember the price).
The confetti was just circles of different sizes (found on clearance at a party store).

Cake Table, Goodie bag table and decorations
For the butterfly decorations on the wall, I had my nieces make them more fun! They used coffee filters, water colors, and pipe cleaners (here is the instructions how to make butterflies). The big butterfly I had with my spring decorations.

TABLE
The table cloth (bought for $1 at the dollar store) and the confetti was ‘My first Birthday’ confetti (bought at a party store for under $3).
CAKE
The cake (bought at Costco for $16.99). They had a caterpillar print!
GOODIE BAGS
The goodie bags are clear with lime green dots (I found these at a party supply store price under $3 for 12 pk). I filled them with items I bought at the dollar store, including candy!
The tags on the goodie bags are printed off on cardstock. I used a picture of the Hungry Caterpillar and put Caeson’s name on top of it, and the number 1 below it. I wrote ‘Thank you for inching along to my party!’
OTHER
I bought all the silverware, cups, plates, and balloons at the dollar store! I blew up red and green balloons (seen below) and put them up on top of the ledge to look like a caterpillar! See all the happy guests:)
