This recipe is pretty simple. You most likely have all the ingredients at home.
I made 2 pans of this, 16 pieces of chicken. If you want 1 pan then half the recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
16 pieces of chicken (I cut up leg quarters, you can use any parts of chicken)
1 cup flour (bisquick makes it a bit crispier, but if you do not have it flour is fine)
*2 tbls. Johnnys seasoning (if do not have Johnnys seasoning, see below)
1 tsp. cayenne pepper (can use less or more for heat)
1 tsp. garlic powder
4tbls. butter or margarine
1 gallon zip lock bag
*Johnnys seasoning is a combination of spices. You can just add some salt, pepper, and paprika but you will have to do your own measurements)
DIRECTIONS:
First, preheat Oven to 425'.
Combine the flour, Johnnys seasoning, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder in ziplock bag, seal, and shake to mix. Add 2 -3 pieces of chicken to the zip lock bag.
Seal bag tightly and shake the chicken pieces until evenly coated. Set on a large serving plate while waiting for oven to preheat. Repeat steps until all the chicken is coated. Throw out any remaining mixture with bag.
Add 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine to two 9X13 baking dishes. When the oven is preheated add baking dishes. When butter is melted and bubbly, add chicken skin side down. (You can pack the chicken tightly, chicken begins to shrink once it cooks).Cook 35 minutes. Flip then cook 15 minutes more.
Remove from oven and let cook 5 minutes.
Serve with your favorite sides!
Enjoy!
