This recipe is so easy and is one of the best home cooked chicken meals I make. My whole family LOVES it, and every one who has tried it wants the recipe. And you can serve it with rice, biscuits, or mashed potatoes:) Trust me on this one...it is soooo good! I make to pots of it, so this recipe is for 10 - 12 pieces of chicken:)

Ingredients:
10 - 12 chicken thighs (or other pieces of chicken, I like the thighs the best)
1 cup flour
1 tbls. garlic powder
1/2 tbls. salt
1 tsp. pepper
4 stalks celery, chopped
1 onion, chopped
2- chicken bouillons
3 cups water
4 tbls. cooking oil
1-gallon zip lock bag
(either biscuits, rice, or mashed potatoes)

Directions:
(1) Put 2 deep skillets on your stove top and add 2 tbls. of cooking oil to each one. Heat on medium high heat until hot (about 5 min).

(2) In a gallon zip lock bag, add the flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper and shake about 15 times. Rinse the chicken and add 2 -3 pieces to the bag at a time, shake until covered, add to heated skillet. Repeat until all the chicken is in the skillets. Heat the chicken until browned, about 5 minutes, then flip and brown the other side for 5 minutes. Then remove the chicken from the skillets and return skillets to the stove.
(3) Meanwhile, in 2 separate bowls (one for each skillet) cut up 1/2 onion, and 2 celery stalks for each bowl. Add each to the already heated skillet. Cook about 5 minutes until translucent. Add the chicken back to the skillets.

(4) Add 1-1/2 cups of water and 1 chicken bullion to each skillet and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce to a simmer and cook for 25 minutes.

Serve with biscuits, rice or mashed potatoes.
ENJOY!
