This turned out soooooo cute and festive, and is so EASY!
Ingredients:
1 box of Rice Krispies cereal (12 cups)
2 packages of mini marshmallows (6 cups)
9 tbls. butter
red food coloring
blue food coloring
Directions:
You want to make 3 different batches of Rice Krispies, 1 batch for each layer. Follow the directions below 3 times...you will make blue first, then normal batch, then red....add the food coloring to the melted marshmallows for the red and blue layers.
(1) Spray a 9x13 casserole dish with pam
(2) Melt 3 tbls. butter and 2 cups of marshmallows over medium heat in large pot. (if adding food coloring add as soon as melted)
(3) Add 4 cups of rice Krispies cereal, stir until mixed
(4) Transfer to casserole dish...wait 3 minutes until cools a little (NOT A LOT!) then press down firmly with hands to cover pan to make an even layer.
(5) repeat layers...Blue first, then normal layer, then Red layer! It will look like the pic below before cut!
Cool, cut, and enjoy the layers for a festive 4th of July!
