Fruit Crumble Recipe

To see more RECIPES click HERE

I had a lot of fruit that was ripe, so I wanted to make a dessert out of it. The recipe calls for berries, so I made some changes and added a mixture of fruit such as peaches, nectarines, plums, and apples. It turned out really good. It does taste better fresh out of the oven. It got a little soggy for leftovers but heating it up in the microwave was ok:) I would recommend making this if you have a crowd for dessert.

Ingredients
5 cups mixed fresh fruit
4tbls. White sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups rolled oats
1 ½ cups packed brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
½ tsp. ground nutmeg
1 ½ cups butter (3 sticks)

Directions
(1) Preheat oven to 350’ F.
Wash fruit and cut into bite size chunks, (if cutting peaches or any fruit with a thick skin, remove the skin before cutting into chunks).

(2)  Fill a 4 cup glass measuring cup to the top (or can measure cup by cup).

(3) In a large bowl toss fruit and white sugar together, set aside.

(4) In a separate large bowl, combine all dry ingredients and mix.

(5) Cut in the butter until you get a crumbly mixture.

(6) Spray a 9X13 inch casserole dish with cooking spray.

(7) Press HALF of the mixture onto the bottom of the pan. Add berries and spread evenly over crumble mixture. Add the other HALF of the crumble mixture over the top of the berries evenly and gently press down.

(8) Bake at 350’ F. for 35 minutes, or until fruit is bubbly and the crumble mixture turns golden brown.
 Enjoy!
