Valentine Tissue Paper Lanterns

You will need:

• glass jar (with lid need LED candle, without can use LED candle or real candle
• tissue paper colors of your choice (make sure you have light and dark)
• scissors
• glue
• paint brush
• LED candle(for jar with lid or no lid) or a real candle (for jar with no lid)

How to make it:

1. Make sure your jar is washed and has no labels on it. If it does, check out ‘how to remove stickers’.
2. To make a background use light colored tissue paper. Cut tissue paper into 1 inch squares. Use lighter colors when adding a background.
3. With the darker tissue paper, cut your hearts, shamrock, or whatever design you like.
4. In a small bowl make glue mixture by using ½ part glue to ½ part water.
5. Spread the glue mixture over the entire glass jar by using paintbrush.
6. Cover the glass jar with the background 1 inch squares. Make sure to overlap the squares to ensure jar is covered completely, press firmly.
7. Paint the glue mixture again over the background  layer of tissue paper then add the heart, shamrock, or any design with darker tissue paper, press down firmly.
8. Paint over the entire jar with the glue mixture again, then allow the jar to dry completely.
9. Once the glue is completely dry, put a LED candle inside a jar with or without a lid, and/ or a real candle in a jar without a lid only.
